Adopt a Senior: Stories Worth Keeping — a community giving and storytelling project by UnBreakable Enterprises. Last updated October 24, 2026.
Our commitment to your privacy
We are grateful for your trust. This policy explains what information we collect through the Adopt a Senior campaign, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle your information with care and respect, and we never sell it.
Information we collect
When you sponsor a senior or inquire about business sponsorship, we may collect:
- Sponsor information: your name and email so we can send a receipt and follow up about your gift.
- An optional kind note: if you add a note for the senior receiving a gift, we may print or attach it to that gift.
- Business inquiry details: business name, contact name, email, and any optional phone, website or social link, and message you share with us.
- Consent: whether you consented to follow-up about your inquiry.
How we use your information
- To process and confirm your sponsorship and send a receipt.
- To include your kind note with a senior's gift, when you provide one.
- To follow up with you or your business about sponsorship and the storytelling day, when you consent.
- To recognize confirmed business sponsors on our campaign page and in thank-you communications, with recognition details agreed in advance.
- To respond to your questions and coordinate nursing-home visits.
Payments
Sponsorship payments are processed through our hosted checkout provider. We do not collect or store your full card or payment details on this website. Transaction and order information is handled by the payment provider under its own security standards.
The sponsored-senior count reflects verified, paid sponsorships only. A paid order for multiple senior gifts counts toward the total by quantity. Refunds reverse the corresponding quantity. We do not count form views, button clicks, failed payments, or incomplete checkouts.
Story recording and sharing
Every senior receives a gift. Story recording is completely optional and only for residents who choose to participate. We record or share a senior's story only with their permission and in accordance with nursing-home policies. Residents are given separate choices for recording, sharing with family, and publishing in a newsletter or other public material. We honor each resident's decisions about how their story may be shared.
Cookies and analytics
This site may use basic cookies or analytics to understand how visitors use the page and to improve the campaign. These do not identify you personally. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
How long we keep your information
We keep sponsor and inquiry information only as long as needed to deliver the campaign, send receipts and follow-up, and coordinate with nursing homes. You may ask us to update or remove your contact information at any time.
Your choices
- You may sponsor a senior without adding a note — the note field is optional.
- You may choose whether to consent to follow-up about your business inquiry.
- You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.
Children
This campaign is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the campaign evolves. We will keep the “last updated” date current so you always know which version applies.
